A new sign outside our gate reads: "Arrive in peace. We receive you, guest." A much nicer message than the previous one "No one shall enter without a plan."

The first present Eleanor received for her 12th birthday was a chicken from the teacher and his wife. She named it Red Neck. The guard killed it this afternoon and plucked it. All of this the children watched with much relish.
For dinner we had "Red Neck Chicken," a Dinthi original recipe.

The Ker kids planned a huge she-bang for the arrival of the Bisters. The Bister kids are (l to r) Jon, Katie, Jakob. The strange creatures are Afri-Kers.

During decades of unrest in Mozambique, people used to cross the border to Zimbabwe in search of economic oppotunities. Now people like Mr. Jipi are coming back to Mozambique because of the increasing despair and civil unrest in Zimbabwe.
