Snowsuits in Africa

These cute little girls were dancing in a circle in our neighbor's yard this morning. The smallest is wearing what looks like a snowsuit. It is pretty cold this morning, about 55F (12C).

I'm not scared.

We spotted a strange looking fruit in the market and brought it home to try. Three different neighbors told me three different things:
"It's a cucumber."
"It's a fruit."
"It's chibwete."
Everybody in the family tried it and it's pretty good. The little seeds are like cucumber seeds but the green slimy stuff around them is kinda like lime jello.
Here Henry proves that not all kids are afraid to try weird vegetables.

Whatsat?

The chibwete is in season right now in Angonia. Is it a vegetable or a fruit?
